YSA Hong Kong and Helping Out the Community

We are delighted to announce a heartening partnership between the Youth Sustainability Alliance (YSA) and Youth With a Mission Hong Kong. This collaboration embodies our dual commitment to compassion and environmental stewardship. Together, we embarked on an initiative in Tuen Mun, reaching out to some of the community's most hardworking yet often overlooked members—cardboard collectors.

Walking the Streets of Tuen Mun with a Mission

Our joint effort saw volunteers from YSA and Youth With a Mission walking the streets of Tuen Mun, where we interacted with local cardboard collectors. These individuals, who play a crucial role in recycling and managing waste, often do so under challenging conditions. Our goal was to offer them not just acknowledgment but tangible support.

Repurposing for a Cause

During our outreach, we distributed essential supplies that are often taken for granted. Items like alcohol wipes and bandages were given out, repurposed to extend their usability and prevent them from becoming waste. This initiative is part of our broader strategy to reduce waste and promote sustainability. By repurposing these items, we not only extend their life cycle but also reduce the environmental impact associated with waste.
