At this year’s FunFest at Yongsan International School of Seoul (YISS), the Youth Sustainability Alliance (YSA) took center stage with an engaging fundraising initiative aimed at supporting our environmental and refugee aid projects. As students, teachers, and families gathered for a day of festivities, YSA provided an opportunity for the community to contribute toward meaningful change while enjoying the event’s vibrant atmosphere.
Sustainability Meets Celebration
FunFest, an annual school-wide festival filled with games, performances, and food, was the perfect platform to raise awareness about sustainability. Our booth featured eco-friendly products, upcycled crafts, and a donation drive, allowing visitors to directly support our mission while taking home sustainable alternatives.
Engaging the Community
One of the highlights of our fundraising efforts was the interactive sustainability challenge, where participants tested their knowledge on environmental issues and learned simple yet impactful ways to reduce waste in their daily lives. YSA members also shared insights into our tech and food drives, emphasizing how small contributions could help bridge the digital divide for refugee communities in Korea.
